Sage MMS

Sage MMS version 3 represents a major development for Sage MMS. Over the coming months Sage will be implementing initial hand held sites on the new MMS V3 SQL platform initially on financials and subsequent commercials modules thereafter as the final roll of tests before the targeted launch during the last quarter this year, running in conjunction with this will be the new Project costing offering from Sage for MMS that will provide users of Sage Line100 & Job Costing an upgrade path.
There will be some major developments in the architecture of the system. The most notable change is the adoption of Microsoft SQL Server for the backend database. This should result in a dramatic increase in data integrity, speed and a more scalable system.

In addition the whole system will employ Microsoft's powerful .NET framework, allowing future exploitation of web services. Reporting and analysis will also see significant improvements, culminating in a completely new module: Business Intelligence. The most significant change to MMS Financials will be support for open period accounting.

With now well over 1000 customer registrations on MMS in the last 18 months, Sage MMS has already established itself as the leading solution in the mid-market. Sage MMS v2.2 is available and is already proving to be a success. In particular, users can now select multiple orders at the point of running specific routines. The introduction of multiple selections relaxes the existing locking within the product giving the ability to run several routines at the same time.
